subaru impreza 2004 wrx turbo upgrade

Hi I am new to the forum and would like to upgrade my turbo on my 2004 wrx. I was looking at a Td05 but was wondering if this is a bolt on or would I need to change other bits to get this to fit. Alsowhat other upgrades would i need to do.

    Thanks

There's probably a hundred different td05 variants, some are designed for stock location Subaru fitment, some are not... none of which I would really consider a worthwhile upgrade.

What are your goals? And what is your budget? ..also, what mods does your car currently have?

I was hoping for around 350bhp and have currently got a fmic, full exhaust decat,up pipe decat, 550 injectors and induction kit. wasn't hoping to spend over the top really maybe. what would you recommend to get to 350bhp.

    Thanks

The FMIC is probably harming your overall hp rating. With that, I would recommend getting professionally tuned.

Popular bolt-on upgrades for the 02-05 2.0 engines are the VF39 (Stock STI turbo), the VF34 (ball bearing version), or the 18G.

an 18G with an appropriate tune will net you close 350whp if tuned correctly, and assuming your engine is in top working order and hasn't been abused. 550 injectors won't do it though.... you'll likely need 750 to 850cc injectors.

And a fuel pump if you don't already have one.
