Yea, but once you past that stage 2 threshold, the Cobb ap isn't as effective.

Quick question about the accessport, this may sound stupid but how easy it it to tune the car? I had a truck before this with a bullydog programmer and it only had 3 tunes to choose from, is the Cobb anything like that?

If you plan on sticking to the pre-determined mod list, yes it's that easy.

Where is there SD option for me, like there is for you?

A map which will then be locked, and you will rely on the tuner for every adjustment going forward. If the tuner feels gracious, this is fine. If the tuner is an *******, he/she will charge you big $$ just to keep your car running properly through the seasons.

Right, I'm saying YOU can't do anything.

Basically, the ap isn't an open source tuning and if you want to tune the car yourself you can't.

Depending if the tuner paid the licensing fee for Cobb AccessTUNER Pro. Some tuners out there simply make maps with ATR, which is a violation of the EULA, I believe.

ATR will only create maps for the serial number with which the software is registered. AccessTuner Pro, however can CREATE ATR maps per my understanding. Whether the Tuner then has the full functionality of AccessTuner Pro, I'm not clear... nor likely will I be clear until you pick up a copy of ATP

Use the Cobb intake for Cobb maps....
Use the Perrin intake for Perrin maps....

Cobb is a short ram with a box around it( if you pay extra)
Perrin is a cold air with no box around it.

Personally I'm going Perrin cai because I'm getting my AP from them. No real reason other than its the same price, and I get both sets of maps if I buy it from them. So there's no reason not to IMO. I've heard Perrin maps make a few more hp than cobbs. But there both OTS maps so I have my doubts
I don't think you can go wrong either way
