Cobb maps require a catted unit. Is the one you're considering catted? If so, it should work. You won't see a difference in catted units until you start getting into custom mapping, and turbos bigger than the stock unit. Catted vs catless also becomes more apparent here, as well.

Focus less on the design of the downpipe/turbo flange than the fact that it's catless. If you go with a catless downpipe, Cobb has every right to say GFY when you call them asking for customer support, when you choose not to follow the map notes.Originally Posted by Rico2611

True... If wanted to run the stage 2 map with the dp and stock catalytics think i would have an issue.

The stock catalytics are in the downpipe. If you have an uncatted dp, then you have no cats. Cobb's maps don't support being uncatted.

You could use an accessport and a map from torquedperformance. His maps you can run catless.

I had a catless and a cobb downpipe... no issues.
You can over boost, or have boost creep... but that's something cobb is usually good about helping you with. Boost creep may not be solvable with their maps due to wastegate design
