Why risk it? I had a cattless dp on order and decided to ditch that idea after reading too many horror stories and issues/potential issues/"fixes along with those issues. To me, it is not worth it. Ill spend the extra 78$ (Invidia cattless 291$ VS CNT Catted at 369.99)VS HUNDREDS in having to have the car tuned out. Think i am going with the CNT catted downpipe. Cobb is expensive, my next choice was the Invidia at 509$, until i found the CNT catted downpipe listed for 369.99. I am running stg1 plus at the moment and i am BORED! I just dumped 720$ in a winter wheel/tire set-up OR i would have had my downpipe on order already! DAMN MOTHER NATURE!
Yes, using the stock summer tires in 4" of snow is sketchy beyond belief!!!!!!!!!

Questions on stage 2 upgrade (downpipe/ap)

Catless > Catted. Just find a tuner that knows what he's doing.

Did you guys miss the entire thread? A tuner will not solve boost creep issues.

I am catless, but I do not agree that it is better for the majority of people out there. There are many additional considerations with that stuff.

Questions on stage 2 upgrade (downpipe/ap)

I've had catless downpipes on 3 wrx's and 2 sti's. never have had boost creep issues, I've had over boosting problems but a good tuner can fix that. I think the biggest problem is ppl trying to use catless dp's with cobb's OTS map when it specifically states not to. And if you do have boost creep then go Ewg.

There are a lot of other factors, including altitude (pressure ratio), VE of the car, etc. Just because you haven't experienced this doesn't mean it's not a danger to others. And no, tuners CANNOT tune this out.

But it's fixable. Just because you get boost creep don't mean you have to run a catted downpipe
