td04-19t on 04 wrx questions!!

I recently bought a td04-19t to replace the stock turbo on my 04 wrx, as it is getting a little noisy. I believe the turbo i purchased is from an 09 wrx. Obviously it does not fit, the compressor housing is much different. I know many people upgrade there stock td04's to 19t's. I dont have much money in the 19t, so what i guess im asking is should i swap compressor housings and use the 19t on my wrx? is this even possible? im running cobb stage 2 right now, so would this require a re-tune? or just re sell the turbo?

you probably could but if it is a 19t it will probs push out abit more cfm there for gotta keep an eye on your idc's and most likely need a tunne

My WRX has that turbo. Be sure it is in fact a 19T as they are custom built, not a stock 2009 turbo. You will need a tune and bigger injectors.
