I'm confused. Are you or aren't you burning oil?? 7 PSI is wastegate pressure likely suggesting the ECU is pulling boost. This could be a number of things. Please list ALL of your mods and how the car was tuned. As for ticking... have you ever heard another Subaru boxer motor up close? It's probably normal.

Loss of oil pressure, or boost pressure? Boost pressure doesn't really have anything to do with your oil. But if you have a cracked ringland that would explain loss of power and oil consumption. Blown turbo seals would normally cause it to smoke like mad.

Loss of boost, I feel like the car should be faster then what it is, it's not particularly slow but it doesn't come. Close to the rx7 I have which doesn't make sense because it should be close to as fast especially with upgraded exhaust system upgraded turbo and injectors and upgraded intake. Like I said though its not really tossing oil out the tail pipe and it only smokes a little when i start it, and it definitely is consuming oil.

Then it sounds like either the car isn't tuned properly, or the boost control system is not working properly. No way we can help with that without knowing what's been done to the car.. data logs would help a lot too.

So I opened up the manifold up and found that there is a very minimal amount of oil inside of it. Basically just a mist covering the mouths.

a deadbolt monster td04 turbo, cold air intake, sti top mount intercooler, stainless steel downpipe and full exhaust, sti injectors, and a mishimoto radiator. as for the tune i have no idea whats going on with the tune i bought this car and im the 9th owner of it so its probably got a really wacky tune considering the car was beat half to death. i mean the idle even sees to low sitting at 400-500 rpm.

The tach only reads down to 750rpm. You NEED to get the car tuned ASAP. 9th owner?!?

I appreciate u bought the car cheap but ur going to need to drop some cash to sort it out. Be prepared to pay 500 to 600 for a tune or more depending where u live. Make sure you prep ur car before you get it done. They will ask for a list of all your mods or they might charge you more for a full inspection etc of your car. The tuner will probably point out if there are some major problems. Good luck!

You need to do compression and leakdown tests, if that checks out then boost leak test, make sure the entire car is up to maintenance (timing belt, water pump, tensor, plugs, all fluids, etc). After that's all done then you need to get it professionally tuned by a reputable Subaru tuner.

Until you have done those things, I wouldn't drive the car..

Well I've been driving it I hope nothing got messed up during the course of these problems although the timing belt water pump thermostat and radiator are all new.

so i put the manifold back on and the car wouldnt start. i went back and took everything apart and found that all of the bolts' threads were severely stripped so there was no force holding the manifold down. on tom of that one of the fuel lines a\had been bent till the point that it folded and closed off. i went ahead and redid all of the bolts and cut the fuel line and attached a fuel line to the cut piece. once properly mounted together the car started right away! not only that but the rpms were good starting at 1500 for cold and about 600 700 for hot. it also sounded a lot smoother more of a brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound as apposed to the brub brub brub brub sound it was making before. turns out i had some serious vacuum problems but i do still think the car needs a tune...
