Some uppipes do come with gaskets. However, many of the ones I've seen included don't look all that great, and the last thing you want to do is a second uppipe install because one of the gaskets blew out; therefore, I'd just buy a set of new OE gaskets. What gaskets you buy is determined by what install method you go with. Basically, if you break an exhaust seal, you need to use a new gasket.

Thanks for all the info! How many gaskets though, just one? Plus, I'm probably going to have someone else install this, like an auto shop or something.

The more gaskets, the tighter the seal. Go with 4 or 5

Just like drain plug gaskets. Got a stripped thread in your pan or plug? Just use more gaskets ;]

No, really you just need one per side

It depends on how they install the uppipe. For every seal they break, they need to replace it with a new gasket. At a minimum, you need downpipe/turbo, turbo/uppipe, uppipe/manifold. You could also require head/manifold or manifold/crosspipe gaskets as well.

    So like 2 downpipe/turbo gaskets, 2 turbo/uppipe gaskets, 2 uppipe/manifold gaskets, and 2 uppipe/manifold gaskets is good?

This. I cheaped out and used the provided gaskets when I did my last uppipe. The lower blew out, and I sounded like a tractor going down the road until I got an OEM piece in there.

No. If you're not DIY installing, then you need to talk to the shop to find out which gaskets you'll need.
