I just bought an 02 wrx that had a TGV delete, and it has the typical wondering idle for a min then idles normal, but I have codes
P0301 MISFIRE CYLINDER 1
P0302 MISFIRE CYLINDER 2
P0304 MISFIRE CYLINDER 4
P0000 PASS CODE (NO DTC DETECTED)
Would these be from the TGV delete? Or no? Also, the check engine light is NOT flashing, doesnt it always flash if it is a misfire code? Not 100% framilier with it.

Would a TGV delete cause me to have these misfire codes?
I don't think directly. However getting to the TGVs gives plenty of opportunities to mess up something listed in the link. Also, TGV deletes are not the first thing someone modifies, they are #17 or lower on the list. So check the link out and go from there, because the car likely has more mods -- so more potential sources for the CEL.

What other mods are on the car that you know of?
I dont think he has any other mods that were done to it. It USED to have full 3 in exhaust, and a stage 2 tune. But before I bought it, he had put it back to stock tune/exhaust. So I think it might be the only thing that is done to it right now. Is it hard to put them back in? Or is there a way to make the computer think that everything is running normal and still have the delete? I dont know about TGV's that much at all...just being honest.
I suspect potentially another problem; see link above for troubleshooting.

Check your Fuel Vapor Solenoid. It breaks easily when working on the turbo/inlet/tumblers. It causes a gap in the line and misfires all 4 pistons. Took me awhile to figure out on mine, hope it helps.
