boost guage intall thread?

hey guy i was just wondering if anyone has done a thread with pics and such while installing a boost guage? ive searched around and tried to use the search function but all i get is database error, im about to put mine in and if noones done one yet well then ill snap some pics and post up the process and end results!

Are you looking for a how-to? I took these images from a friends install...

Grommet to run tubing through:


Tap BPV line:


Run lines to gauge location (in this case, OE clock pod):


Back of gauges:


Tap power:


Ground:

yes i was looking for a write-up but those pics help a ton, i really just needed to know where to mount the t-hose in the bay. i have the sterring column pod, so perhaps ill snap some pics and post up a how to anyways. thanks again guys.

Do you have a multimeter? If not, get one (they're cheap). That will be the only part that should differ from the pictures I posted.

This is what I used to install my Defi gauge. You can't go wrong with this, trust me.

And a side note I run the power and ground from the radio and AC harnesses not the clock, good luck.

Any tool store should have them. I have a Craftsman one, and picked up a couple recently from Harbor Freight they gave away free with any purchase (not sure if that deal is still going on).

ahhh ok ive always called it a voltmeter, just used one the other day to diagnose a subwoofer problem. ive got a buddy that will surely lend me one for the tie being. thanks again for your help EJ.
