Why do you need to port it? If it's power you are after there are a lot of different and more reliable ways to get there.

Im going to port it to prevent boost creep. Im going to a stage 2 map on my 07 wrx and this is a common problem. Everyone says porting the turbo will correct this.

New gaskets and hardware (studs, nuts, bolts). Even if you don't end up using the new hardware, it's worth it to have just in case.

As for porting, unless you're confident with your experience and abilities, I'd consider sending it off to have someone professional do it.

No offense but if you have to ask if you need new gaskets or not maybe you should leave this to a professional. Porting a turbo is not really for a novice. A lso a ported turbo will require a custom map. No OTS map will support it.

No I'm not doing it by myself. I have a mechanic friend who has done it to vws hes gonna take a look and if its too differnt then im gonna take it to a local speed shop
And I figured id need new gaskets and bolts but I wanted to double check and also see if anyone reccomends a cheap site to order from. If not then I'm gonna just order from the dealer.

    Some cars creep, some don't.

You don't currently have a problem; cross that bridge if you get there...

I have a 06 all catless and no boost creep problem. Its mostly the lack of backpressure that will cause creep. Are u using a hiflow cat. Maybe you sould get to stg2 befor you try to fix a problem you may not have.
