I'm glad I waited ~ 5 years for this one. It seems obvious ... why didn't any other manufacturers think of including a splitter?![]()

Here it is. I wasn't expecting a painted finish - looks pretty nice. The corrugated fins are unpainted. The "PROCESS WEST" logo were vinyl letters, easily removed.

The Process West web site pictured the TMIC with a blue Y hose ... I'm glad this one is black.
I was also not expecting to be as heavy as it is. It's fairly thick aluminum ~ 4mm. It's the only aftermarket TMIC I've ever held. Are others also on the thick and heavy side?
BIG splitter. The bottom edge of the splitter has a similar gasket material as what's along the edge of the hood to make a nice seal.
It goes on tomorrow as well as the Samco turbo inlet that's been on back order for 3 months and coincidentally arrived the same day (not bought from the same vendor as the TMIC).

About all that will be needed is some tweaking with timing based on logging.
I'm also nearly ready to do some wide band O2 logging.
I'm going wideband ...

It has been installed.
I did run into a problem just prior to the TMIC install: I suck at turbo inlet pipe installs
Back to the TMIC ...
The fitment of the PW IC was all but perfect. The supplied hose and T fitting worked very well to eliminate the hard oil breather lines from the OEM IC. It neatly routes under the IC.
The mostly excellent big PW splitter has a few minor problems. The OEM splitter was a better flush fit with the hood. There was some strips of foam backing to help seal in the airflow. The PW splitter has none.
The last image shows a sizable gap between the hood and the splitter plate. Even with the gap it will direct a lot more air through the IC than the OEM splitter could.
I have a pretty good idea of how to fix this and the foam backing. A trip to Lowe's or Home Depot will likely have what I have in mind.
I will need a car to get there though. Until I repair the fuel line problem described in the link above I'm going nowhere.

I have the WRX back!

Took it out for a couple of WOT log pulls and will be emailing them to those who are helping me tune.
The WRX felt great ... can't say it was the TMIC as it finally cooled off with very low humidity (76 F 30% RH dewpoint of 46). My maximum boost is a tad low at 18.5 psi.

Looks great Bill!
Hope it performs as well. On to reading the other issues you had now though.
And for the record...aftermarket TMICs were heavy. I distinctly remember mine (SSAC) being heavier than an STI TMIC.
It made otherwise the cleanest engine bay I've ever seen, even cleaner.![]()

I filled the gap mentioned above with some foam caulk backing.
It doesn't look too bad.
