i would look at a different intake. do a search for "injen" and you'll find that no one will recommend them due to their poor design.
ps: dont forget to get a catless uppipe while you're doing your TBE

Ok, im going to try to make this question sound as easy as possible to understand.
For my 05 wrx with a turbo back exhaust, catless, what will give me the most gains after it's all said and done.
A dyno tune with stock intake, or a dyno tune with cold air injen intake.
There as simple as possible, will I get a greater hp gain if the tuner can get it right with the cold air injen intake??
Straight answers please, thanks again.

If your tuner is worth anything, you'll have more power from the tune with the intake than with the stock box.Originally Posted by 05scoobytooner
If you haven't already purchased the Injen intake, then look at a different brand (e.g., APS). If you've already purchased it, you can either try to sell it at a small loss, or put it on in the tuning facility parking lot (that intake should not go on the vehicle without custom tuning).

the best person to ask this question would be your tuner. every tuner is different. some may feel comfortable using the CAI some may not.
it is difficult to account for the turbulence caused by the CAI around the MAF. i would guess that a tuner would get more consistent gains out of the stock box then the CAI.

Why can't you answer your own question? Is Google broke? Is your telephone/email not capable of contacting local tuners? Is the search feature broken on this website? Do you really think there is 1 single 100% non biased/non opinionated factual answer for every question?

Um, he volunteers a lot of time here helping people out when they ask reasonable questions. This is not a simple issue that has a clear answer no matter how hard you try to constrain it.
Personal attacks are strictly not allowed here - care to rephrase that or maybe even apologize?

This discussion is ridiculous anyway. You don't even need an intake with the power your making right now. Just get a custom tune and call it a day.
BTW you might want to refrain from insulting some of the seasoned members here for ye shall get flamed.
