im not sure one of my friends told me about and he called it the recirculating box or something like that

yea its probably the silencer. Pretty easy to remove, you can hear the turbo spool a little better. Easy first "mod" lol

you dont need to, i know i didnt and i know of other people who never did either. but if you want you can buy an elbow piece to replace it.

Just need a 10mm wrench if I recall.

Pull off the RF wheel, and a couple of inner wheelwell fasteners...... you can get up in the fender pretty easy.

just curious...how do u do this withouth the elbbow, i thought that was the whole point.

The whole point is to eliminate the silencer to free up the ram air flow to the airbox. You can do the silencer delete w/o the elbow. Most people don't use one. You can buy an elbow if you choose, but there have been no significant gains in using one. Not worth the $50 IMO.

Yes, it's called the entire fender area.
