Well, I'll be honest, a lot of the reading I've been doing has me really disheartened.

The "plan" is to get the car looking the way I want it... interior, body, suspension, etc.

THEN.... I'l start researching exactly what my options are, and whether or not the cost is worth it.

I think you should go for it a little at a time and not worry too much about the cost. If you look in the right places, and do a lot of the work yourself, the motor/tranny swap and retrofit will be rather affordable. And you will have a one of a kind classic surely to grace the pages of Subiesport.

i say go for it. you bought the car for that reason. plus you got it for really cheap. If you slowy do everything, it wont be that bad money wise.

Look what I found...... Kinda like opening up a time capsule.

No big deal or anything.... just antique Subie stuff..... Kinda rare to find this stuff in old cars.

Anyone know anything about that symbol on the tools????

the symbol that looks like a boomarang kinda? it means denso its who supplys or makes subaru's parts i have a kit that said denso that came with my 02 wrx that had a little tool kit with a screwdriver and other stuff that came with the car

like denso is oem for subaru like ac delco is for gm, hoped it helped

Headliner is done.... looks brand new.

I'm working on the door sills.... there was quite a bit of rust once I pulled off the trim strips.... I'm handling it though... it's going well.

Figure I better completely finish the door jams before I complete the interior, to avoid getting dust and crap all over the place. Couple more days, and i should be able to get started on the interior.

Seats, steering wheel and seatbelts are on ebay.... the $$$$$ is going toward newer racing seats and harnesses.

The dash??? Ehhhhh..... if I can't find one, I'm going to go ahead and take a crack on recovering it myself..... it'll be a new venture... we shall see.
