Yes.
The new buyer is excited about picking it up, exceptionally communicative, and very responsible. In fact, I've already been paid.
Nice to know it is going to a new owner that will take care of it.
This is a discussion on 914er's project "SPOILED BRAT" progress thread within the Engine Modifications forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; hey so how'd it go this time? successful sale?...

LOL... Yea... I know.... they are still way cool though.
Honestly.... it may just be a phase. Last night I was looking at 78-81 Corvettes, low-collectibility and low hp, so they are cheap, but still great looking cars.
Of course, after owning 6 different (yea, six) 77 / 78 Trans Ams..... and a couple of 72 Porsche 914s... I can't help but miss them too. Those two cars will ALWAYS be my favorite cars of all time... so I've been eyeballing T/As and 914s as well.
T/As unfortunately, have skyrocketed in collectibility and value..... so in order to stay within my budget, I'd have to start with a POS. 914s? I can get into a "decent" driver for $5k to $5500. I sold my last 78 T/A in 2003 for $9000. Now? It would be worth nearly $16,000 in the same condition.
But... I've learned a LOT about Subarus since I sold my last 914 in 2008..... just the thought of doing a WRX drivetrain in a 914 (which they DO make a kit for)... just makes me cheese my pants. Best looking car in history..... with the best motor squeezed inside?? OMG.... amazing/. 362 crank hp (easily), in a 1900 lb, mid-engine, RWD roadster. HOLY F***!!!
Oh yea... and I like mid/late 60s El Caminos too./... especially the 66
I also like late 60s Datsun 510s. There's on one eBay right now with a supercharged Nissan V6... nice
I really like late 60s mopar wagons... those are cool too. Slammed.... blacked out.... uber smooth
The list goes one..... something I've owned before.... or something new?
Gotta get the wife a job first.... and gotta get my family moved in to TX..... but once that happens, the saving begins, as does the hunt for a new project..
The only thing I can guarantee.... is that it won't be a Ford, and it will either be a convertible, or have A/C - LOL

Datsun 510 would be amazing. Those are such awesome little cars...with an INSANE amount of performance potential (at least in drag racing)

Bump for a slow day at work and a fun thread to reread! I'm putting some local feelers out for a Brat project, so I've been collecting bits of info here and there on them. I'm looking for a Gen II, though.![]()
