    MBC question from noob

    I have an 06 WRX Cobb stage 2 ,I just want to know if it is ok to put a mbc in and if I need to adjust anything in the accessport. Also what would be the max boost I should hit? I've done a search & checked the FAQs , I could not find anything. Thanks in advance for any info.

    You don't need an MBC. The AP adjusts the boost mapping already, properly.

    So... you don't need an MBC.

    some do but not with a pretty much stock rex

    Ok thanks everyone, because there was this guy (who says he tuned his evo and got into the 9 second range ,so I thought he knew what he was talking about) he wants to put an mbc on my car for me , and he didn't want to take no for an answer.

    Its your car...he can't do squat to it. Evo's and WRX's are two entirely different cars.

    Use proper engine management if you want to raise boost.

    ive been going to suby meets around me and like 2 out of 3 owners have MBC's (no boost gauge), cai, and DEFINITELY no em. its like the worse combo evAr for wrxs! ppl must think "if it works on and evo it'll work for me. i mean, their both AWD right?" its all i can do to not get on my soap box and start preaching about how bad that stuff is.

    Hey, I got a CAI!!! lol, but i bought the car with it on there.
    But as far as upping your boost. I too would recommend doing it through Engine Managment.
