I'll start this by saying that I'm going to get to Cobb Stage 2 eventually...

I'm going to install a gutted OE uppipe and a Cobb downpipe with cat. I've researched all of this and these are what will fit my needed the best.

I currently have a Borla Hush catback. I'm was and am looking for something throaty but not loud.

I just recently noticed that the Cobb downpipe ends in the stock 2.5" donut gasket. (Dumb, I know.) Cobb says that a 3" system is better blah blah, but I think that a 2.5" setup with a Prodrive axleback would be just fine, especially for stage 2.

So, what do you guys think? Stick with the Borla or sell it and get a Prodrive oval tip axleback? I'm interested in both performance and aesthetic thoughts.

look into other catted downpipes that will mate right up to your catback. for instance, the helix and invidia downpipes are real nice pieces. these end in a 3 inch flat flange and should bolt perfectly to your hush. the hush is one of the best exhaust systems you can have.. i would hold onto that if i were other. otherwise, i'll take it from you lol. you want an sti catback?

i say look into other brand catted pipes to mate to your hush, otherwise, do what you were planning on doing.
