I used about 1/2 of the 62 square foot package of raamat, so approximately 31 sq. feet.

The closed cell foam that I used is called Foam Sealer. I think that it is a sill plate insulation. I bought it at Home Depot and it sells in rolls that are approximately 18 inches wide. I know that some people used Ensolite and have been happy with the results.

With that 31 sq. feet, how many layers did you apply? Did you cover just about every part of your car with it?

I covered the insides of the doors, most of the the floor, and the rear tire wells. I only put on one layer. To see if you need more, knock on the panel and if it resonates, you need more. If it sounds like a dull thud, you don't need more.

I put Raamat wherever there was metal that seemed to need vibrations dampened. In parts of the door, the floor and the firewall, I also put closed cell foam. Just be careful that you don't add too much to the doors or it will be difficult to get the inner door panels back on.

hm...i keep hearing a lot about closed cell foam, yet i still don't know exactly what it is. Is it like a liquid that you pump out of a bottle or somethign and then turns into a solid? Or does it come as a solid? Where should the foam go?

EDIT: OHHH i just looked it up on google and saw that its just like carpet padding...probably the exact same thing with a little different density/thickness.
I just put a lot of carpet padding underneath my stock carpet, it seems to have helped a bit, especially since i put liek 4 layers around the wheels wells. I put a little too much underneath my pedals, gotta remove some of that because whenever i push down my clutch, i hit the carpet, and same with my gas pedal... :-\
