I'd like to see some too, I'm looking to build a small box that takes up as little space as possible, looking for a crafty place to put it.. Probably just going to run a 10.

    Any ideas?

    Spare tire well?

I don't know...Im sure I'm going to catch flack for this but I'm kind of satisfied with my upgraded Subaru sound system...I had infinity's in my other car with two JBL 12's and a 700 watt amp/panasonic face and it just annoyed the crap out of me...I like to hear the music not really feel it...rattling my car lose.

Spare tire well is free on my car. I threw away the sparetire the day I got the car. Have you felt the weight of that thing

Personally I'm placing the amps in the well. And are placing the 10" sub(s) against the seat. A 10" in a closed box should give a very presice, fast and controlled sound if I have understood correctly. Hopefully not beeing to rice

This is my work-in-progress, it's for a wagon but might give you ideas. If you just want a stealth 10", the spare tire well is a perfect place.

Now we are getting somewhere Almost similar to something I had in mind. Keep us updated on the prosess

Anyone else have some pics? If I don't go with 2x10" I'll just put it in the spare wheel place.. But I'm torn between a race/rally setup and a semi show /semi race setup I just need to make up my mind soon lol..

I built it, here's a brief overview of what I did. Also, it's not completely carbon, just 1 layer on the outside for the finish.

How does CF lay up on fiberglass? Is vaccuum bagging it necessary? I'm thinking of using it as a finish layer instead of upholstery on my glass boxes. Looks awesome man.

Thanks, my understanding is that to get optimum strength to weight, you'd have to vaccum bag to sqeeze out the excess resin. For just finish though, it layed up the same as fiberglass except it wasn't as drapable (carbon fibers seemed stiffer than glass fibers). I wasn't concerned about an extra pound of resin because I was adding about 60 pounds with the box, sub and amp anyhow.

Edit: The extra resin adds no strength but it doesn't weaken the box either, it just adds more weight.
