help my sub doesn't make any bass

Perhaps someone can help me diagnose the problem?
I can hear my sub playing music but it doesn't make any bass.
My sub was working fine a few days ago.

    I've tried:
    1) the fuse is not blown
    2) the amp is receiving power
    3) swapped to another amp and no bass still

My setup is stock HU to Line out convertor to amp to sub.
    I am guessing either
    1) sub is broken
    2) line out convertor is broken

    what do you guys think?

    thanks!

Here is what I would check. Make sure you have positive to positive from amp to sub otherwise if it is switched the sub will pull in when it should be punching out. Also, if that doesnt work try looking in the box and making sure all the wires go from box to sub correctly. Just things to check. The first thing i suggested happened to me, no bass, but i dont think music was still coming out.

Hook up a 9V battery to the sub and make sure it moves in some direction. Then check the connection to the amp and the head unit

what kind of sub setup? LOC suck. i ran one off my stock deck to my infinity basslink. had to have the gain up WAY high on the basslink, causing it to cut out and perform like you are having now. Check the voltage to the pos term on your amp while its doing this. if its not 12-14V check your power source and ground...

i replaced the fuse holder in my system and changed to an aftermarket deck, NO more problems.
