Looking to upgrade the stock sound system, and need suggestions...

the 6 disc in the dash is nice, but honestly the HU is crap not the speakers. replace the HU with something like an Alpine and it will sound much better. driving aftermarket speakers with the stock HU, won't sound much better cause you have to start from the source of the problem. when you add a sub, you then decrease the bass going to the stock speakers which allows you turn up the stock speakers more and since they won't be distorting trying to hit bass notes that they can't hit.

i wouldnt say the upgrade sub is bad. it gave off a nice amount of bass, but not as strong as a (1) 10" woofer in a box.

i had one, but ended up getting rid of it cause it wasnt enough bass for me. so i decided to go with a custom enclosure from Need4Speed , kenwood 1000w amp, and a kenwood 10". the enclosure is a bit expensice, but im happy with my setup.
