    There's not a lot of selection out there if you want to put something in that's just as large. Why the hesitation about a gap? It's just more storage space for garage opener, access card, cancer sticks, french fries, etc.

    There's should be a lot of posts out there if you search under "HU." There's also pics under a thread "post your interior" that shows a lot of different configurations, few of which are using the crappy stock system.

    I would also add that there is no "best". The "best" will be the headunit that works for your needs in terms of sound, function, power, etc...

    just my 2 nonsense worth.
