single din stereo , EMPTY SPACE?

I will install a single din stereo in my 04 sube,
but where can I get a perfect fit opening above the stereo to put CDs, and whatever in it

by the opening above I mean a case thing, sort of like what the STi has since it has no stereo.

You can also get a forester DIN pocket. It comes in black, and a silver to match the silver trim

I got the silver one, and have my turbo timer, and profec B cramed inside of it.

    Thanx guys for your help!

I ordered a universal din from crutchfield, but i am thinking about gettin gthe legacy one though.
I know it flips up, but can you flip the din upside down and make it flip down?

I have not seen anyone to this yet, but I was thinking about putting by turbo timer taped/adhesive to the lid so I can open it and put stuff inside and then close it to show the gauges.... but i dont want it to flip up cause it might hit the stereo, i would rather it flip down.

Anyone have this legacy din and install it upside down where the lip flips down.
Thanks for your assistance fellow members!

I f you are worried about the hatch hitting the stereo, you can put the stereo below. I'm planning on putting the pocket on top of the stereo.

I'd definately put it in the lower DIN. Right now mine is on top and it overheats if I have it loud for a while. I'm not positive having in the bottom would solve the problem but I'm going to try it if I ever feel motivated.

I like having mine in the lower DIN pocket so I can use the cupholder and still change CDs.

I just did my din install last night. I put the headunit in the upper spot. I think it looks better up there. Now as far as practicality, it would work better in the lower as Rancid suggested. But I don't use my cup holder...
