Question Best in-dash 6 CD head unit?

I've done a lot to improve my car audio already, including

MB Quartz PSD 213 separates (front)
MB Quartz RKC 113 component (rear)
    Custom 12" subwoofer

MTX Audio Thunder 6304 4 channel amp
MTX Audio Thunder 311D 1 channel subwoofer amp

    Higher-end wiring (forgot the name?)

I still have the OEM head unit, which goes to a higher-end line converter (Sounddesign? don't remember the name, but it was expensive, around $60).

Anyhow, I'd like to replace my Subaru head unit with another multi-player unit, single din or double. I do not want a MP3 head unit.

I've come up with the following:

    Nakamichi MB-100

    Eclipse 56050

Anyone got any other high-end models that I should look at? I'd like to spend less than $500 (by purchasing through ebay).

I've done a lot of searching but most folks recommend a MP3 player or a head unit with just one CD slot.

Also, I do not want graphics or any other distractions to driving, I want a simple display.

    David

I like Eclipse and Pioneer a lot. I bet some people will recommend Alpine, but personally I like Eclipse and Pioneer more. Nakimichi would be good for pure sound quality. Make sure you get some good RCAs to go with your new head unit.

Pioneer is it for me.... I like other brands too, but Pioneer always comes on top in my book

    Model numbers, if you please

If you want to recommend a head unit, would you mind giving the model number.

For example, I went to the Alpine web site, and could not find any Alpine 6 CD head units.

Then I went to the Panasonic web site, and they didn't have any multi-CD head units either. They also don't show the unit's stats either - - no THD, no S/N ratio.

    Thanks,
    David
