I've tried my old sub that was sitting around and does the same thing.
I figured it's not w/ wire connections.
Could this be my Amp(Alpine MRD-M300) or the subwoofer out-put on my headunit?

Ok, i think it's my amp...
I have no RCA wires connected to reciever (so effectively no signal is being sent to my sub amp), but it still makes poping noises...
It is my amp right?![]()

Did you check your connections? A loose wire can make it pop, whether its the power supply to the amp or grounding or whatever.
I would guess its your amp...when speakers fail they make LESS noise, not MORE![]()
I did check my wiring... But I'll doubt check..again![]()
I hope it's just something dumb that i'm over looking.![]()
I am probably gonna re run some of my wiring. I want to make everything neat, ya know, for peace of mind. Plus when I was doing installing everything, i was running low on wires, didnt do a perfect job... So mind as well take this oppitunity to make every perfect.
