Looking for a dash kit, having trouble

I am looking to buy a new headunit. Problem is that I cant seem to find a dash kit, aka installation kit for the stereo. What kind of kits have you guys used to cover up the hole left behind by the 2DIN sized stock stereo?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
2 extra questions on the side... Whats the best material to use to make spacers? Spacers for the speakers that is.
Also, I read somewhere that the metal in the back is too weak to mount a subwoofer box onto, is this true? Because I am planning on mounting a sub, but afraid that it wont work due to thin metal?

    Thanks in advance

You may have a turbo. You may even have 227 horses. But if you don't have the control of Subaru AWD, you can't touch this
