CD Player Swap,WRX--->2000 impreza

I sold somone my 6 Disk Changer from my 2002 WRX. She's trying put it in her 2000 impreza. This is what she's telling me that it does.

-No Backlight if headlights are turned on. IF headlights are turned off then the backlight comes back on.

-CD Player won't take the CDs

-Tuner Doesn't work

-Tape player plays fine

What should I tell her? I'm not sure what the problem is. Does any one have any ideas? Help!

Bad wiring? I was told it was a pretty direct swap and even size wise it fits properly. A Subaru dealer i know commonly swaps the old CD players for the 6CD WRX changers and work fine....

Well I know there's nothing wrong with the radio. She bought it from me off of ebay. She says that she hooked her old radio up again to make sure and it worked just fine. I don't get it. I need to help her fix this or she's going to be wanting a refund and stuff. And that would suck.

Does any one else have any ideas? Or anything further on schischwein's theory?
