This is a discussion on I got my head unit, now I'm looking for a little more bass within the Electronics/Car Audio forums, part of the Interior Mods category; So I ended up getting the Alpine 9883 because I didn't feel like spending 0 on the 9885, and I ...
So I ended up getting the Alpine 9883 because I didn't feel like spending $300 on the 9885, and I was told that the 9883 would be sufficient enough. I must say, it does sound great. Now the thing is, I want a little more bass, BUT I don't want a crazy sound system. I'm not looking for 10,000 inch subs in my trunk that shake the entire world, I just want a little more bass, any recommendations?

I have a Kicker COMP VR2 dual voice coil 12, with a 350 watt rms rockford fosgate amp(at 2 ohms) in a moderately small box. It sounds great plus I have the bass knob right at my fingertips so I can change at demand![]()

don't weigh the subaru down with a sound system.. just get more performance parts that make it faster and louder!!
If you want to pay more for a name, go with JL. Not a bad product, but you can get similar results for a lot less money. Check out the following:

THIS IS CAKE TOWN!!
kappa perfects are a GREAT sub.. hits clean, and are relativly cheap. you can power 2 12's at 300rms in a ported box and make the ground rumble with a nice class D amp.. JL is a trusted brand and possibly the best comp equipment you can get w/o gettin in rare super competition stuff that'll cost ya an arm and a leg.

Look at Audio Integrations. They have loaded sub box that fits great.
I was quoted $750 at three different places for that JL Audio Stealthbox... Not saying it isn't a good product, just retardedly overpriced.
