I'm pretty sure the harness is there even if you don't order the subwoofer. I've been thinking about buying a stronger powered sub and using those wires (extended to the back) to run it.

    Drrez,

I peeked under there and all I can "see" is the wiring for the air bags?

From the instructions on subaruparts.com the subwoofer harness is tucked behind the radio in the dash.

Yes, it is. I recently added 2 subs to my factory radio, and found it back there. I wasn't sure what it was, but did a little research. The hardest problem was finding a wiring diagram for the radio harness. If anyone needs one, e-mail or PM me.

    Question

Anybody have the wiring diagram for the radio?? Can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm looking for the factory sub out harness and have no clue what to look for behind that radio...

I just pulled the sub from one 2002 and put it in a 2002 without the upgrade. There is a cable that goes from the sub though the console and plugs into the back of the radio. There is no harness under the seat in cars without the sub.
