I got asked for pics of the wiring on the amps, so here ya go!:

You can see in the pics that Audio Integrations drilled a hole under the wire cover, then routed the wires below the tray.

does anyone know what i would need to hook up subs/amp to the stock head unit in an 06 wrx....im doing an audio upgrade myself

I believe you'll need line level outputs spliced to the head unit since the stock head unit doesn't have pre-amps. At least the 02 doesn't.
