    2013 factory head unit.

I didn't find any info, does anyone know if there are RCA jacks in the back of the factory head unit. It doesn't not have the nav unit. I'm just trying to find out before I tear into it so I can install my amp and sub. Ay help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

There are no RCA jacks on the OEM (Clarion) head unit. There are no 3.5 mm jacks either.

Here is the best online resource that I know of on the factory radios:

Subaru radio and radio wiring harness information

The input for the OEM under-seat subwoofer is taken from the speaker wires. If you wish to keep the stock head unit, some aftermarket amps or subs may require a high level to line level adapter.

Grab an after market HU, it'll make a huge difference with the stock speakers. Unless all you want to hear is bass, then just go to the suggested site above and get the necessary adapters to integrate the sub

going to keep the factory head unit, and I plan to hook up 2 amps. I need to know the color/function break down. I am using a trueconnex line output converter. the Subaru radio and radio wiring harness information mentioned above doesn't match match my wires. the head unit model # isPF-3391A-A and the part # is 86201FJ630 Clarion

Any help is greatly appreciated this is for a 2013 Subaru impreza

If you are willing to spend money on two amps, why not a headunit. Even a 150 dollar one would be far superior.

Are those the actual colors of your wires?

I didn't look at the colors in my 2013 WRX. I bought a 20 pin harness from ae64 (SVXdc, also known as David Carter). It matched up to the factory harness exactly. If you have the 20 pin connector, compare the wire positions with the ones in his table. you could build a table with the colors that you have.

Of the wires for the speakers (8 wires), the only one that I see on ae64 that isn't in your list is a grey/green one (right rear +). Could that be your white/green one? (Should be pin 16.)

Heads up, this thread is 2.5 years old. It's not likely that you'll get a response from OP.

That's a blast from the past. Contact email I used:

    David Carter <96svx.dc@gmail.com>

I hope that he is still in the biz. I haven't contacted him in more than two years.

    No.

There are ready-made harnesses on the market, but the ones I looked at back in 2013 lacked some connections. (I don't recall which ones, but probably the steering wheel controls.)

I believe that ae64.com still has the pinouts posted. I don't know how easy it is to obtain the additional pins.

Or, you could just place an order with Mr. Carter and see what happens. He does (or did) nice work.

What exactly is your goal here? Add RCA to the factory head unit? Or install an aftermarket head unit that has the steering wheel controls?
