    Car keeps dying!

So my car will never hold a charge overnight. Every morning I have roll start in the the parking garage. I went and had diagnostics run on the battery and they said it's good.

Now my head unit won't turn on either so I'm thinking that could be the cause of my problems. And advice on what I should do? I was gonna rip out the unit to check connections but I would be very surprised if one was bad. I have an aftermarket Kenwood xdc-794 head unit and a boss subwoofer.

I had the same problem, but after I drove the car non-stop for about an hour (to fully charge), I haven't had a problem. Try that, and if that doesn't work than you have excess power drain.

Yeah the sub has a built in amp. And I looked at that and there is no light on. The battery is 6 years old does it make sense that it would do that?

Even though the battery tests fine, it may be on it's last leg...

Get the battery fully charged, then see if you can start it the next day... If not, get it charged again and unplug all aftermarket accessories (Radio) then try again in the next day... If none of this works, buy a new battery. If you have the same problem w/ a new battery, you have parasitic drain somewhere.

I'm gonna unplug the battery terminals overnight and if the battery is dead in the morning it has to be the battery right?

Last piece of info. My friends played a prank on Me and left the lights in my car on. My battery was completely dead. Like nothing would turn on could this have killed my battery?

Yes.. most batteries don't like being fully discharged, especially when they are already several years old. It's time for a new battery. If you want to check if some of your accessories are hooked up wrong and draining power use a DMM and test via the fuse box with everything turned off. If it's pulling current you have a problem.

Deeply discharging the battery (depending on the type of battery) is going to damage it regardless, so it's possible that your battery is ruined, if it's one or six years old.

Yes I forgot it was replaced. Forgot that it wasn't the original battery.
