JVC H/U. Might go back to stock

So I bought the 6.1in JVC touchscreen H/U, which I love, but the only problem I have with it is the Bluetooth connection to my iphone really sucks. Every time I talk to someone on it, they say it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. It really annoys me cause now I have to hold my phone to talk, which defeats the purpose of having handsfree bluetooth. With the stock unit, everyone would hear me just fine AND all the buttons on my steering wheel worked. I was thinking about putting the stock unit back in unless anyone knows of any mic upgrades I could do. The mic volume is as high as it can go and I still have to lean forward and almost yell into it so people can hear me. Since the stock unit does just about everything the JVC unit does, it seems like it would be the smarter thing to go back to.
Any suggestions or anyone else having a similar problem?

Can you move the Mic around? Might be able to find a spot that works better. Also I'm pretty sure you can buy upgraded microphones for some aftermarket units.

I've put it everywhere I thought would make it better, closer, further, left, right. Nothing works.
I'll have to do a google search for upgraded mics

That sucks, good luck with the search. If I find anything I'll let you know. I remember seeing a thread that had some info, I'll keep an eye out for it.
