Just sharing some pictures of my new audio setup. Main goal was to keep it clean, save as much space as possible, and still have killer sound.
Setup info:
INE-S920HD - Alpine In-Dash 6.1" GPS Navigation Receiver with Bluetooth
Alpine SPR-60C 6.5" Car Audio Component System / Non-Component for Rear
Alpine 8" Single Ported Enclosure
Alpine MRX-V70 X Series D Class 5-Channel
Back up cam w/ infra red

Looks good. Any deadening done?
Unless you want to be obnoxious, a good 8"/10" sub is perfect. I only throw 250W to my JL 10W3 and it provides a kick in the back of your seat, yet is barely audible outside the car.Originally Posted by 11blackSTi

I have the same sub, but the Alpine 530 instead, thing rocks LFE more than enough for this car. Anything more and I'd be afraid of parts falling off.
Yeah I am sure an 8 works great. I only have an 8 sub in my living room and it shakes the house. The ten in my car can get so loud that it is too intense. It shook my interior apart on my old 2.5i. I did have a mono 1000 watt amp powering it though! (realistically probably only 500 rms).
yea the 8 bumps hard, harder than I expected. Anything more may be overkill, like I said I just wanted super clean sound. The 8 provides deep bump without any metal rattle what so ever. I actually had the option to put in a 15' that I already had, but opted out because it was overkill and a space eater.
were you able to keep the steering wheel controls working with bluetooth and radio?
everything except call pick up / end. I'd have to use the touch screen to do those.

that's awesome looks good. did you you need to get any additional adapter or anything? or did the controls hook right up to the new unit? also any tips for the install? run into any snags along the way?
basically just went to bestbuy to get the list of parts I needed, then just bought all the hardness / adapters on amazon.
By chance are you using an iPhone 5 with the set up? If so any issues? I have looked a Pioneer and hear their integration with apps etc will be available with new units coming in March. Looking to update stock unit in 2013 WRX

I use a galaxy 2, iPod touch, and iPad. All with no issues. easy to manage the different blue tooth devices
