This is a discussion on Alpine Errthang in my '13 WRX within the Electronics/Car Audio forums, part of the Interior Mods category; Did you this yourself? What made you choose this head unit over one without Navigation (i.e. IVE-W535HD), or was it ...

    Did you this yourself?

What made you choose this head unit over one without Navigation (i.e. IVE-W535HD), or was it the Nav part that really hooked you in?

I'm actually in the process of installing the exact same setup except I'm currently using a 12" type R, my only question is if the component tweeters fit right in to the OEM bracket or if there was any modifications needed to make them fit. Looks great though!

How does your Bluetooth sound? I got an aftermarket JVC and everyone on the other end of the phone says the quality sucks. So bad I almost want to go back to my OEM H/U

They can hear me pretty good, I've been told there is lot of background noise though.

A Wicked CAS stealth sub enclosure filled with a JL 10W3V3-2 being fed 586 WRMS out of my Alpine PDX 9V amp is certainly not too much bass. Careful tuning will allow for great bass response without shaking the car apart.

Looks good, but the fact that the sub is upside down would drive me nuts

Much stealthier than my tuned ported 10" box... Sometimes audiophiles need to compromise... I didn't...

I like your box, what did you fill it with. That's a mighty big box, you need a sub that is made to play well with a large tuned port box. I would think a JL 12W7v3 might just be the ticket for your box.
