Looking for a little help with HU

    Hey everyone,

I wanted to buy myself a headunit for my WRX 11.

I originally wanted the Pioneer AVH-P4400BH. But now that I see another HU which is the Pioneer AVH-X2500BT, I'm not sure which one I should get.. they are both around the same price ~$350.

I understand that the resolution on the x2500 is much better than the 4400 but also has a slightly smaller screen.. other than that would the Install be the same? (I checked on crutchfield.com to see if it was compatible and it is!)

Any advice / input would be appreciated!

A H/U is a personal decision. Since they're both Pioneer, their interface is likely going to be similar. Go to a car audio store and play with each; see which one you like better.

Well the only thing I wished the X2500 had was the rear view input camera.

Everything else is in the x2500.. I guess I'll just get that one and hope for the best?

In terms of install. Is it similar to installing other pioneer H/Us?

I strongly urge you to play with both units before deciding. Choose the one you prefer the use of. The screen clarity really shouldn't be a deciding factor, IMO (considering what will benefit from it).

Install for any double-din H/U will be similar. There may be minor nuances between brands/models, but the general procedure is the same.

Well I found the x3500 which has everything the 4400BT has that I wnated from it and all the good perks x2500 has.

Yay found the perfect unit. Still fits. All my choices were pioneer so in terms of brand I'm hoping there isn't any crazy differences between the models (they are all double din).

Thanks people I will hopefully post what the final product in the upcoming months
