I ended up using the lightning cable rather than that 90° cable I got in a dock. This seems much strong and it just fits.

The most time consuming and frustrating part for me was the body work. Still not where I'd like it to be on the inside of the pan, but in the car you can hardly tell. Painting was a pain as well, lot of drying time. I messed up on the right side because I was too heavy on the spray can and the pant built up. So, had to sand it down, re primer and paint it. I did put a gloss clear coat on it. It is a bit glossy than the rest of the interior, but I don't mind. Mainly because I don't want to redo it lol. Looked into getting some suede in there, but the iPad won't fit because the fabric adds a little to the holder. I think it's fine without it, doesn't rattle or scratch the iPad. This looks a lot better in person.

Well, it's been a few days since I got this project done and installed and all I can say it that I absolutely love it!!! I've been using "Waze" for my navigation so far. I'm looking for an app that I can import a specific route that I created because I like to take the windy roads There is one app called "Galileo" that can import KML data from a map/route you created from google maps, but there is no voice guidance or any real navigation rather just a line on a map. For an app to play the music off my iPad, I found the app called "ICE Tunes" to be the best. ANd it's just more than a car music player, it has a GPS speedometer, g-force, time, weather, map, and heading. I'm also looking into getting a wi-fi OBD-II dongle for the car and running "DashCommand". It'd be more to impress people.
