Satellite radio help!

I have a 2010 Wrx, which I bought private party. Previous owner had installed a Kenwood DNX6960 head unit.

I've done a lot of research and even asked kenwood. I know I need an adapter and the serius tuner.

My main question is can I still use my stock antenna on the back of the car? I dont want to use the little magnetic one if I dont have to.

Have any of you been able to use satallite radio with your stock antennas with aftermarket HU's? Thanks!

Last I knew it didn't have a stock sat. Antenna? I could be wrong though

Well I assumed it did considering the stock radio says satallite on it....

Ok, let me take a step back.

The black antenna on the rear of my 2010 WRX, that swivels forward and backward, is it for AM/FM and Satellite? Or AM/FM only?

I may have misunderstood and this would make sense.

I believe the back antenna on top of the car is am/fm only.

Yes the antenna on the back is for AM/FM only. You're going to need to install the satellite antenna that came with the system.
