2012 Navi Questions

So the wrx I bought had this badboy in. The navi feature is really nice, I certainly like it versus all the garmins and tomtoms I have ever seen. But I have a couple questions and hopefully there is some more experienced people out there. I am trying to figure out if there is some way to input addresses and **** while driving. While I don't personally input addresses but my copilot (the boss) wanted to make a detour on our roadtrip this last weekend and we couldn't figure out if there was a way to do it while in motion. I get it, it shouldn't be done while driving but they could put a disclaimer or two or four along the process.


Any custom equalizer combos out there? The stock ones are ho-hum.

Turn off "safe mode"

under which menu is it? I've torn through every menu I could find

Hmmmm.... mines in the actual nav system not the stereo settings and you can choose route, favorites, either settings or menu, and its in there. but on mine, its called safe mode and you can disable it so you can do everything while moving.

I don't have that option. I think I have the forester navi unit. or at least thats what my manual says

Ahhhh gotcha, I have a aftermarket Kenwood, maybe thats why.
