I'll be using B-Quiet sound proofing for the doors and trunk. I am switching head units to the Pioneer DVD Receiver AVH-P8400BH. Has HD radio built in and IOS app controls.

Solid choice. I highly recommend the Pioneer AVH series. They are very popular on here. Have you considered the AVH-4400BH? It's got HD radio, bluetooth, and app controls as well. As much as I can tell, the 8400 just adds Advanced App Mode, which basically turns into the Pioneer App Radio. The App Radio is an awesome concept, but hasn't received stellar reviews.
The 4400 offers a more limited app mode, but you can still display apps on the screen and control them from the HU, it just doesn't have quite the same level of integration that the "Advanced App Mode" has. Is it worth the extra $150 over the 4400? Not to me.

That's funny cause I was just going to ask what the difference between the 4400 and the 8400..
I think I also noticed that the 8400 can also play a lot more video formats than the 4400?
Other than what was mentioned above.. I'd go with the 4400 as well.. really wanting to upgrade too but just got to wait for the right time.
The AVH-P8400BH has several features that make it my choice. For one it has two USB ports, it can use Motion X for nav out of the box and special apps for making your own albums with fades etc. Check it out AVH-P8400BH - 2-DIN Multimedia DVD Receiver with 7" Widescreen Touch Panel Display, Advanced App Mode, Built-In Bluetooth®, and HD Radio™ Tuner | Pioneer Electronics USA. Speakers will be high end CDT Components with mid/subs in the rear doors. The Audio Integrations sub box will come in a few months. The Massive Audio NX5 will finish the audio portion of my upgraded system.

so between the Kenwood DNX7190HD and the AVH-P8400BH what would be better?
In my opinion the Pioneer HU is superior, but the kenwood is about $50-$100 cheaper. The Pioneer has a little better iPhone integration. I just prefer Pioneer car audio/video products over any other brand of HU.
