I've always wanted a CB in my WRX (idk why either, I just feel like I should have one) but I just feel like I wouldn't use it.

Hey now, I'm not condoning speeding, and I personally dont feel the need for a radar detector, but for those that do, a CB is a cheaper, and probably more useful tool to accomplish the same goal, plus it has lots of other uses.

So a cb set up would be cheaper than a radar detecter?

People tend to compartmentalize these speed limit discussions around their particular situation with their commute. I agree being in a big hurry on a congested highway when you are resigned to share the road with a bunch of caffeinated idiots day in and day out is not courteous or worth getting worked up over.

On the other hand, take and set your cruise control for the speed limit and drive from NY to OR. I'd like to know your opinion on how frustrating the speed limit is after you get through KS on day 3.... In the open parts of the country they are completely unreasonable at best. 55-65 is just plain tiresome and frustrating. 90 has a much nicer flow to it. IMO if you don't get caught more power to you.
