Instrument panel lights might have a short.

So I have a 2004 wrx and my stock gauges are really dim, almost completey out but only on the right side. My gas and temp gauge work fine. But sometime the temp gauge goes out too so I have to give it a love tap to get it back. Any ideas????

burnt out bulbs or a loose connection at the back of the cluster would be the first things I'd look for.

If you haven't fiddled with anything like the clock or radio, I'd just pull out the cluster, disconnect the harnesses, and try again. If not, pull it again and swap the bulbs and see.

How does that cluster come out??? I see some screws above the cluster??

There are vertical screws facing upwards, don't forget those. Drop the steering column to max low, remove all the screws, and it comes out. There are three harnesses behind it.
