So this being close to my millionth installation, I figure I ought to go all out on it, and really make a show of what we can do.
Equipment in the install:
Pioneer Premier Signature Reference Series DEH-800PRS
Pioneer BlueTooth Enumerator CD-200BTB
Pioneer Premier Signature Reference Champion D-2000-SPL
Pioneer Premier Component 6.75" Kevlar/Silk 250w/400w
Pioneer Premier Co-axial 6.75" Kevlar/Silk 250w/400w
TCSounds Epic 10" 2x2ohm 11"x6" 28lbs each 3" xmax 1kw rms
MagicBox enclosure pair
UltraFil
4% Silver soldered terminals throughout
eDead 80, 180 sq. ft. total installed
HTC Android Incredible
Optima YellowTop 1000CA/1100CCA
Esoteric Audio A4 and Esoteric Audio/StreetWires 1/0 cables
American Wire Company 8awg speaker wire
TomTomXL
Zenesis ZN502A/S/AS
Ralco pulleys
Gates belts
Reflash at ACAR
Speaker fitment is like OEM with spacers.
eDead "dynamatting" took 100 hours or more.
MagicBox will build anything, They're like rocks, and fit like gloves.
Having two box tunes means having midbass and sub-bass covered with no problems.
Epic subs are heavy, but mass is bass.
Trunk spoiler is very very unhappy with the install so far. It is SO quiet do drive with the stereo off, that the install was doubly worth it.
Amplifier works better upside down. Pioneer didn't just make a surfboard heatsink and put nothing under it, it is stuffed, and the coils barely fit. They cool faster with the amp mounted upside down under the deck... pics:
before subs... waiting on a new pair

What do you recommend? I would go so far as to get a FMIC if I did it, as I am on a very cleaned out and water sprayed OEM intercooler, on an equally treated turbo. It is reliable, and makes about 16psi. I'd do whatever at this point, price being the only issue, thus my slow approach. I know cheap = junk usually. What would you do?

On a 2.0L I'd personally get either the HTA68, or Subaru WRX/STi TD05H-16G-XT Turbocharger
I know I am totally jacking my own thread, but who cares... I'm learning and this is good.
What intercooler would you recommend, and would it stay top mount (again, not a concern, just wondering), and do I need anything I don't already have?
Oh, and what are those turbochargers approx prices? Where to buy? That's a grand for that turbo... Not going to have that kind of money in the next few weeks.
I'm not trying to make you sorry you are mod for this thread, but I do want to do that. I know you know this...

Personally?? I'd get a Processwest TMIC (That's what I have). I'll be doing the PW TMIC with a 20gXT and E85.
I don't know their approximate costs. I think they're both around 900. Personally, I buy all my stuff through WRXPro.com because the owner is one of my good friends. If you Email AJ and say you know me from ClubWRX... he takes care of my friends pretty well.
Otherwise, you'll just have to hunt. The 16gXT is a newer turbo that's way more powerful than the EVOIII 16g but has the same spool times (if not faster). That's the turbo I'd get, but a lot of people like the HTA from FP.
...I finally started using the stereo in mine now that I can pull out without straining to hear the engine. It took me all of 15 seconds to realize that the radio needed even more attention than I expected. I had low expectations, as well.
I need to start planning =). Going big or going home on this one though unlike my past make shift / budget installs.
