    Factory Speakers Replace

I don't know if its because one of the speakers(front passenger side) is shot, or is the factory sound system that bad?

I listen to the radio/cd/ipod quite alot and the rattle/vibration of the speakers is bad. I narrowed it down to the passenger side by noticing the sound vibration goes away when i change balance 100% to driver side.

    It's a 2002 WRX Sedan.
From my understanding there are no aftermarket speakers with exact fittings that go into stock housing. I know the size of front speakers is 6.5'', and I have a another car that is not being used that has same size front speakers, can I swap them, or does anybody else have better/easier solution?

    Thanks!

Sounds like a blown speaker to me, you'll hear a buzzing sound, or a vibration type sound when they're blown and a low or mid sound is played through it.

There are kits that make the installation of aftermarket speakers easier in the stock holes, crutchfield I believe has a set. Front stockers are 5.25" and rears are 4". You can put up to 6.5" in the front and 5.25 in the rear, but you do need the spacers and may need to do a bit of dremmeling out.

Were I you, since you're going to be in there anyways, I would put in some better aftermarket speakers.

Same here, people have done it, and I may be one of them in the future. Subaru puts sound on the ass end of things when designing a car, which sort of makes sense since it's a performance car, not a luxury one.

I'm not really sure about that, to be honest. They say they're upgraded, but to what? They look like the factory speakers to me, can't imagine they would be much better than what came in the car.
