Subaru 2009 WRX - Car Audio

I want to replace my front and back speakers + 1 Amplifier..
I have a subaru 2009 wrx with standard audio
Looking to install 2 component speakers in the front

There are sooooooooooooooooooooo many speakers in the market I dont even know what to get... Any Recommendations on good speakersss ?

Like you said... there are a lot of options out there. The main thing is to remember. You get what you pay for.

PS. I thought the stock speakers were bad, but after I replaced the headunit they became a lot better. They sound pretty good unless you are looking for really loud.

I'd go to some audio shops and hear them in person.....buying speakers without hearing them in person is like buying a car without ever sitting in it.

How do you install component speakers in the front door ? has anyone done it yet ? did u guyz cut the door 1inch to install the tweeter ? ... any ideas ? also where did u mount the crossovers ?

Im thinking about getting 4 component speakers in all 4 doors .. so i would need to cut the door to install the 1 inch tweeters and also mount the crossover somewhr

So i was talking to this guy at crutchfield.. he told me subaru wrx 2008-2010 doesnt have much speaker option because of limited mounting height.. this is the info he shared with me..


2.7" in the front but with only 1/2" of mounting height. 4.85" in the rear but with only 5" of cutout diameter available.

hmm, I heard or read that there are some brackets that you can buy to get some more space?

I cant remember where though...
