    Question 2009 WRX Premium Wiring Diagram

    Hi everyone, i'm new to the forum thing. I hope i'm posting this in the right place.

    I'm looking for the stereo wiring diagram for a 2009 WRX Premium with the 6 disk changer. I'm mainly looking what the pinouts are on the stock harness. Thank you all in advance.

    Starting in 2008, some non-Navi Subaru radios use a new 20-pin connector for speakers and power.

    Close-up of new-style 20-pin power/speaker connector:

    This picture is the connector on the back of a factory radio.

    The connector has two rows of 9 smaller pins, plus two larger pins on the far left and right sides.

    20 pin connector pin out:

    This is Subaru's numbering scheme, looking at the pins side of the car's harness (opposite gender of the above picture) — car's wires pointing away from you.

    20 +12V Battery (Constant-on) Blue/Red Yellow

    EIA is a standard for wire colors used by nearly all aftermarket head units (HUs) and harnesses

    Illumination = +12V when headlights on, otherwise open-circuit
    Dimmer = variable voltage from 12V (dimmest) to 0V (brightest) [yes, backwards — not a typo], same as instrument panel lighting

    The Navi radio has a second harness with nav-function wires. Sorry, I don't have that pin-out info yet.
