honestly i wouldnt do this.. why ? because i would rather get a controller that many companies make to control your ipod from your stock radio. i would rather do that then tear up a rca to mini phono cable...
what controller? i want to do a search, but don't even know what keyword to start with. i tried controller ipod wrx but got something like "my eye pod"...

damn .. i will check my audio installers for the site i found it at. but when i meant controller i meant interface. its an interface that allows your stock head unit talk to your ipod. on another forum hondasuv.com one of the members did something to use his ipod with his stock headunit ( cd player)
Me and my friend tried that in my 94 Accord beater with a Panasonic DEH stereo and i went on eBay to look for the adapter and found one for cheap but it was the second-chance one from the manufacturer one..had the same plugin, different shape and it wouldnt go in!I got pissed..be banged it in with a mallet and it still wouldnt work..Was pretty easy to figure out though..

the problem with this write up is that it assumes your head unit has an input of some type (usually a cd changer). wrx's don't because they use the in-dash 6 cd changer, so unless you get a different head unit, you're SOL.
Get an FM transponder and plug any thing with RCA jacks into your car stereo. You can get a blue Pyramid model for about $17.
if you have a stock WRX head unit with the Tape/CD player combo just use a tape adapter. Unless of course you are still using tapes.

werd. been this route. got a griffin iTrip and works great...thing is, some medicore songs...but that doesnt matter to me because the only music i ever listen to is Armin Van Burren and his music is gotten from his live radio broadcast so its not the best anyhow.Originally Posted by talon95tsi
Since the stock HU supports cd changers, I think that this should work for you. I know there are a couple more products on the market that do the same thing, but this is the only one that comes to mind.

tjhe stock headunit Is a cd changer and therefore doesnt have any connections
Can't you still run changer controls through most standard antenna connections, which the stock deck does have.
Is this correct?
