Finally got to spend some time detailing...

Now that I am home from college for the summer, I finally had time to give the rex a good cleanin. It needed really bad, it was terribly dirty, and small swirl marks were starting to show which was a first for my car. Anyway, heres the line up I used. Some of these products, such as the Megs #26 Professional Wax and Ice Car Wash, I had never used before but I am happy with how it turned out .All these products can be purchased and just about any auto parts store.

First, I gave it a thorough washing with the Turtle Wax Ice Wash. The Ice wash worked well and was nice and sudsy, probably the second best wash Ive used besides Meguiars Deep Crystal.

Next, came the Clay Magic Clay Bar. My car really needed it, and I got alot of nasty blackness off on the clay.

After the clay bar I gave it a quick rinse to remove the clay bar lube and any dust or pollen that had settled.

Then, I hit it with the Megs #26 Professional Hi-Tech Wax. I really liked this wax, you could compare the shine to Megs Gold Class but I found it easier to remove than the Gold Class.

Last, I used Megs PlastX on my headlights to remove some of the haziness they got while it had been sitting out ungaraged all semester.

Nothing to elaborate, but Im happy with how it turned out. My front lip still has tons of rock chips from going back and forth to college, but this summer all the lips and skirts are coming off and the bumpers are getting repainted and Rockblocker Clear Bra put on. Heres the finished product:
