Never cleaned a turbo engine..I normally use simple green but my question concerns what to cover in the engine bay when I rinse it with water.
Do I just cover the electronics and turbo intake?

I use simple green and don't cover anything (except the battery) just take it easy on the alternator and fuse boxes, really not any different than a regular car just make sure you get everything off the intercooler (simple green that is if not fully rinsed off it makes these white deposites)
