    wax is just protection, abrasive polishes and compounds are another story.

    i havent been able to fully detail the wrx in a while, im away at school now, but she is still home in the garage

    Yeah thats true and if your not using an abrasive wax/polish then I guess it doesn't matter. Detailing is fun.

    All of them afaik.

    the only way it would "damage" your paint is if you applied it with a dirty applicator.

    carnuba waxes generally don't have abrasives.

    Don't all waxes have a mild cleaner (abrasive)?
